Shard August Update

We know we have been a little quiet over the last few months in regards to Shard and as many of you may know this is mainly due to the fact that we have a small community team looking to achieve a lot with no funding or ICO. Due to this it is very hard to take on additional community team members to deliver at a quicker pace, or get listed on exchanges without wider community support.

Non-stop work, zero time to rest

Since the inception of Shard the core community team has invested deeply into this project, to a point where most of the team has only just been able to get by. Working over 12 hours everyday, while not making a single cent since its inception or sold a single Shard, but instead self invested and funded the project benefitting Shard holders.

Shard is one of the few projects with no ICO that is funded by its core community team and works continuously while not making any money to live. Looking to deliver a lot more with less team members than many large, multi-million dollar funded projects and companies listed on large exchanges and delivering less.

Due to the lack of team members and already working non-stop its hard for the core community team to handle things such as social media, community management and growth. This may lead to some of you thinking there is no activity, however this could not be further away from the truth.

Shard website update

Currently the Shard website is undergoing a full re-work with a sneak peak attached. This website goes into more detail and an overall rework of information and details.

As the new Shard website comes out, we will be looking for someone else from the community to help with the creation of the new Shard whitepaper and design. If you would be interested and have prior experience let us know in a DM on Discord and provide your previous experience and how you can help.

Funding

As many of you know to complete the Shard Quantum project, we will require to either raise funding via IEO / VCs (we prefer not to go this way as it will require some changes), or to be listed on larger exchanges (best way but depends highly on the community) that can bring volume and allow for small amounts of the Shard reserves to be sold. This can only be done once Shard reaches a more sensible value of at least $0.50, due to the limited supply of Shard.

Exchange Listings

We have reached out to many exchanges in regards to listing, however as a project with no funding it is very hard to get listed on any exchange that will bring value, with most big exchanges charging up to $250,000 for listing.

There are exchanges we are working with to get Shard listed on for free, however to get listed on these exchanges there needs to be a lot more market activity for Shard, higher market cap, strong community involvement, social presence and much more.

What can the community do?

We are proud of what has been accomplished and going forward look to push even harder into a new era. However to achieve this goal and push Shard to become a top cryptocurrency, more support and help of the community will be needed in promoting and being much more active to significantly help with adoption, support, exchange listings and overall growth of Shard.

Joining the Shard Discord

We are currently considering joining both the Shardax and Shard discords together to become one server, even though they are individual projects.

This is due to the limited time our team currently has and by doing so would allow our team to monitor and manage one discord channel a lot more easily, since the majority of members are the same across both channels. We would like to know the thoughts of the Shard community on this.

Shards value

Shard has a wide range of use cases and benefits as a unique blockchain and across partnered platforms. Our team has worked night and day to ensure the future of Shard, innovating and building the future of blockchain, without any funding or any reward and are fully invested in the project.

Seeing Shard at its current value is very disappointing, we believe Shard is highly undervalued in regards to what we are doing, looking to do, the use cases Shard has and much more.

Comparing Shard with other projects that are in the top 100 and have raised 10–20+ million in funding, we are working on much more. Delivering more use cases and value, innovating the blockchain ecosystem and much more. While having far fewer team members, yet delivering just as fast as these projects and up to a higher professional standard.

Closing Statement

Going forward we would like to see much more community involvement and increased growth within Shard. Much depends on the community uniting as an army of Shard supporters, helping with promoting, arranging activities and the growth of Shard. Looking forward to larger exchange listings and additional community team members for Shard to grow and provide meaningful and innovative solutions for the future of blockchain.
